Most readers can remember the heavy influx of Sport Utility Vehicles that seemed to saturate the automotive market throughout the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. These vehicles did then, and still do, promise spacious interiors, a commanding view of the road, and piece of mind for safety-conscious families (click here to browse Daytona Nissan’s vast inventory of vehicles fitting this description). However, as the world changes around us, and the prices of oil continue to rise, consumers are beginning to turn toward vehicles that fulfill different needs, such as efficiency and ease of operation, without sacrificing comfort and safety. Nissan is planning to launch up to two new small cars in the North American market to meet this demand.
Originally slated specifically for the “Americas region,” the United States may become a viable market for the new models as well. One model will become the newest generation of the popular Versa (click here to see our inventory of the current Versa in Sedan and Hatchback iterations), while the other has been described by Nissan as a “multi purpose vehicle.” Both will share Nissan’s new global “V” chassis, which will contribute to a cheaper cost.
However Nissan plans to move forward, rest assured Daytona Nissan will keep our customers updated with the latest information and insight.
